I offer several frame options:
Neo-Florentine is a high quality contemporary metal frame in black or dark bronze, with the classic florentine finish which has been used on jewelry for centuries. It gives a very subtle texture to the surface. Choosing the neo-florentine frame will add 1 1/4" to the overall dimensions of your matted photograph.
Palladio frames are made in Italy and combine a clean modern profile with a lightly distressed hand-rubbed beeswax finish. I have this in a warm dark brown. Choosing the Palladio frame will add 3" to the overall dimensions of your matted photograph.
Some images are offered with a black wood frame from Larson Juhl. It has a flat profile and the wood grain shows lightly through the black but it is not a distressed finish. Choosing the black wood will add slightly less than 3" to the overall dimensions of your matted photograph.
I'm using a new frame on some of the large custom sizes, a Nurre Caxton moulding in a finish called oiled bronze. This is a hardwood frame with a really beautiful look.
Here's the oiled bronze frame on the large custom size of Scotty:
