Rest in peace to my dad
Rest in peace to my dad, Paul Anderson. He was sleeping peacefully when I saw him a few hours before he died, and he then slipped mercifully away after a long battle with Parkinson’s. People who knew him will remember his love of his farm, which he worked on so long to restore and preserve and I value all he taught me about history and nature. He used to say he did “some counseling and some farming,” which kind of minimized the fact that he was a psychologist who helped many people over his long career. He’ll be dearly missed by all of us. This photo from my high school era is of my dad, my brother, and I when we were all out in one of the fields. He loved those times with all of us working together and in more recent times would supervise as my niece and nephew helped too. Rest easy, dad.
