Repost from 2016: Photographing at Farm Sanctuary

August 2016: This month Farm Sanctuary featured some of my work along with that of other photographers working there in this article.

For the past few years I’ve been going up to Farm Sanctuary in Watkins Glen, New York, to take portraits of the animals.  The peaceful, happy faces of the animals belie the horrors each has experienced before being rescued by Susie Coston and the rest of the Farm Sanctuary crew.   I donate money from my photographs to the Emergency Rescue Fund at Farm Sanctuary and I’ll continue to photograph there and at other sanctuaries including Indraloka in Pennsylvania and Poplar Springs in Maryland, and others I have on my schedule to visit this autumn and winter.
