April News

As coronavirus shutdowns continue the art show season has drastically changed. Right now my next show will probably be Main Street Fort Worth in September. There is a slight chance the Westport Fine Arts Festival in Connecticut will take place in July but that is up in the air. Old Town Chicago, scheduled for June, has been cancelled but I will be there in June 2021. Unfortunately I’ve had to decline participation in the Northern Virginia Fine Arts Festival, which has now moved to September, due to other schedule changes.

All artists are going to feel the pinch from this, me included. Fortunately I have a well-established website shop and have been shipping orders for the past 20 years so that will continue, and I’m offering free shipping. I appreciate your support during this time, and hope my photographs bring you some joy.

In other news, I was honored to have one of my slave dwelling photographs included in Jill Enfield’s new edition of her classic book on photography, Guide to Photographic Alternative Processes: Popular Historical and Contemporary Techniques. Check out her book if you have any interest in the history of photography or the practical application of many techniques including the selective toning method I use on the slave dwelling Illuminated images.
